All right. Today is the day that current Dreamwidth users get some invite codes to invite people along.
So, since I have five four account creation codes in my hot little virtual hand and no idea who to give them to, I have decided to just open it up and draw a winner or two out of a hat.
Right now this is just for one code, as I am going to span it out over time.
To enter the draw comment below with:
- Your name
- Your LJ and/or website (if you have both, both please)
- A little bit about yourself, and why you would like a Dreamwidth account
That’s it! I’ll choose a winner Sunday night my time, which will be sometime around midnight EST on Saturday. Contest has closed, and I decided to give away two codes. Congrats Haley and Clem!
Hopefully I find some cool new people to follow/check out, and some might stick around and follow me.
* Your name: Robbie
* Your LJ and/or website boywithbooks.com
I think my LJ is rwjohnston.livejournal.com
* A little bit about yourself, and why you would like a Dreamwidth account
I particuarly want a Dreamwidth account because it’s time to separate my personal blog from my book review blog, and I like Dreamwidth’s philosophy and the communities that are already springing up. I’d use it as a personal blog and use it to post my writing, fanfiction, vlogs if I ever do that, etc.
My LJ’s qudaitsewukong.
I want a Dreamwidth code mostly because of the buzz, and because it looks like it’ll build an interesting community.
I want a Dreamwidth invite because I want to try, and possibly leave Livejournal. I’m sick of the ads, and Livejournal is increasingly becoming less journal-like. I want to bring back writing personal entries.
My name is Clem, my website is ohclementine.com, and my eljay is jihibukai.
I want a Dreamwidth code because I’m pretty sure I’ve given up blogging publicly, at least for now. I want to write personal posts about personal things and I want to control who sees it. I am tired of eljay because of the ads and because my flist is spammed with a lot of pointless stuff. I am also attracted to the diversity statement at Dreamwidth.
I’m Haley!
My website hub is haley.nu, and my LJ is elveneyes.livejournal.com.
I would love a Dreamwidth invite for two main reasons. Firstly, I am sick and tired of LJ’s discrimination against fandom and fan fiction writers. I am an avid fan fic writer, and would love to have a nice, friendly place for my fic to be. Second, I would also like to use the Dreamwidth account to update people on my many many websites. I have over 80. Right now, I am mixing my personal journal with my online life, and that doesn’t really strike my fancy that much.
Anyway, thank you for doing this!
