I have always been fascinated with mirrors, and got thinking about them years ago with the writings of Singer. I worked in a drug treatment center for five years and met some practicing vampires. I don't know how long they will live, but they did love blood. Some of them enjoyed a drink of that about as well as their drug of choice, which was most often cocaine.

You know just when everyone agrees that there are no more of any kind of thing in the world, well then you can have your doubts. For example slavery was outlawed, and there are plenty of slaves. As a drug counselor I met many slaves. But society will say that trade has been wiped out -- the same with vampires.

Just like Isaac Singer's stories it is my favorite fantasy about people living in mirrows. Of course in his stories it was demons. Some people are demons, read a few true crime stories. So I will not be suprised very much when I meet someone who has lived for years inside a reflection.

I really can't wait to read this whole thing when you're done! It's looking great so far. Make it into a book and ship it over to me. ;)
