It used to be popular to love vampires (usually the watered-down kind) and now it's the "cool thing" to be tired of them. I just don't want to read, see or hear anything about any different vampires until the hype around the SMeyer ones dies down - it would just be vampire overload, PLUS you'd get all those annoying people going ZOMG YOU STOLE HER IDEAZZZ EDWARD IS WAY BETTERRRRR!!!!!!!!!1111 I can't deal with that.
