A New Means Of Motivation

I have been slacking lately, I know it. I have been spending my time reading (I’ve read 49 books so far this year) rather than writing. I need to balance things up.

So ta-da, my new motivation. I am not allowed to read the next book until I have reached a certain word count. Now this is sure to work. :P

Another Blood Bound Short

Over at her blog, Prophecy Of The Sisters author Michelle Zink hosts a thing called Thursday Night Write ((Which for me is more Friday Morning Write, but whatever)) where she posts something – an image, a song maybe – and then we have to write for a set amount of time whatever is inspired by that image.

What came out of her latest Thursday Night Write was this, a short piece from the long history of Athanasios, a character mentioned repeatedly in Blood Bound, but doesn’t actually appear until the sequel.

Not that this story is from Athanasios’s POV, of course.

A Random Blood Bound Drabble

I woke up in the middle of last night and found myself scribbling down a drabble. After a bit of polishing, and the addition of a few words to make it a round 100, here it is.

Monday Inspiration: Pushing Daisies

In an attempt to motivate myself into posting more often on this blog (even without comparisons to On The Nightstand, postage here is rather lacking), I have decided to do A Thing – an attempt at a weekly meme where I post one thing (a picture, a quote, a video, a song) that has inspired or influenced my writing/a story in one way or another.
